Professor Mary Dondero, associate professor of art at Bridgewater State University, will present the exhibition "Perception, Memory and Landscape," Nov. 13 through Dec. 20 at the Wallace L. Anderson Gallery and in Maxwell Library. The exhibition represents work she created during an artist residency at Zion National Park. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., except holidays. Group Art Show

A group exhibition, "Animal Magnetism," is on display at the Wallace L. Anderson Gallery through Nov. 8. This group presentation includes selected works from individuals who practice varied artistic disciplines with a range of mediums. Drummers to Perform

Khakatay, Bridgewater State University's West African Drumming Ensemble, will perform a concert that's free and open to the public on Thursday, Dec. 6 at 8 p.m. Horace Mann Auditorium in Boyden Hall is the venue.

Holiday Concert

The Bridgewater State University Choral Society will present a Holiday Concert Friday, Dec. 7 at 8 p.m. in Boyden Hall's Horace Mann Auditorium. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.

Piano Concert

A Piano Gala Concert featuring Dr. Debrorah Nemko, associate professor of music, will be held Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 8 p.m. in Boyden Hall's Horace Mann Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.

Gala for Scholarships

A Scholarship Fundraising Gala featuring music performed by the Department of Music will be held Monday, Oct. 22 in Boyden Hall's Horace Mann Auditorium at 8 p.m. General admission is $15 while the cost is $10 for senior citizens, alumni and employees. Students are free.

Winter Dance Returns

Winter Dance 2012 continues its tradition of staging performances choreographed and starring advanced dance students at Bridgewater State University, under the artistic director of Dr. Nancy Moses, professor of theater and dance. Performances will be Dec. 6-8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Rondileau Campus Center Auditorium. Tickets are $10 for the general public; $8 for senior citizens, members of the military and students with ID, as well as for youth age 17 and under. 'A Christmas Carol'

The Bridgewater State University Lab Theater will perform "A Christmas Carol" at 8 p.m. on Nov. 29, 30 and Dec. 1 and at 2 p.m. on Dec. 2 in the Rondileau Campus Center Auditorium. The group will use a small stage setting for the performances, so seating will be limited. Tickets are $15 for the general public; $10 for senior citizens, members of the military and students with ID; $5 for children under age 12. Heritage PowWow

Bridgewater State University will celebrate its fourth National Native American Heritage Month PowWow on Sunday, Nov. 18, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Kelly Gymnasium on Park Avenue.

Japan Friendship

News & Events

A "Japan Friendship Piano and Chamber Concert" honoring the legacy of Shuji Isawa, Class of 1877, will be held Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 8 p.m. in Boyden Hall's Horace Mann Auditorium. Isawa is regarded as the father of public education in his native Japan. Tickets are not required for this event, which is free and open to the public.
