Evening Degree Session

The Office of Continuing & Distance Education will hold an Evening Degree Information Session for those seeking to complete their bachelor's degrees on Wednesday, April 9 starting at 6 p.m. in Room 221 of the Moakley Center. Attendees will learn about Bridgewater State University's nine evening degree completion programs, attending Bridgewater as an evening student and the admissions and transfer processes. Graduate programs

The College of  Graduate Studies at Bridgewater State University will host an information session on Thursday, Feb. 20 from 4 to 5 p.m. in Room 120 in the Center for Science & Mathematics. Information about the university's graduate programs and application process will be available. Of special interest will be a presentation called "Pathways to Educator Licensure" presented by the College of Education & Allied Studies. School Counseling Session

An information session for the School Counseling graduate program at Bridgewater State University will be held Wednesday, Feb. 19 at 3 p.m. in Room 115 of the Kelly Gymnasium. Dr. Theresa Coogan, program director for School Counseling, will discuss the program, admissions requirements and answer questions.

Dr. Michael Kocet, program director for Student Affairs Counseling, will be the featured speaker at an information session about the graduate program offered at Bridgewater State University on Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 5 p.m. in the Kelly Gymnasium, Room 115. CPDC Lecture

The spring lecture series for the Children's Physical Developmental Clinic at Bridgewater State University will feature Dr. Seymour Zimbler of the orthopedic surgery department at Children's Hospital on Saturday, Feb. 8 Dr. Zimbler's topic is "Children with Cerebral Palsy: Medical, Therapy and Educational Concerns." The presentation  will be held in Room 120 of the Center for Science & Mathematics from 8 to 9 a.m.

Aviation Open House

The Department of Aviation Science at Bridgewater State University will hold an open house on Saturday, March 15 at its Flight Training Center located at the New Bedford Regional Airport, 1852 Shawmut Ave. The event, which will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., is open to anyone who is interested in pursuing a bachelor's degree in aviation science. For more information or to register, contact Greg Bongiorno, aviation program manager, at gbongiorno@bridgew.edu or by calling 508.531.2654.

Alumnus Augusto Goncalves is plugged in. The former political science major is in to social media to such a degree that when the White House was looking for people to Tweet during the recent State of the Union Address, he was selected and invited to attend.
