This year’s annual campus celebration of Passover was held in the wake of a horrific crime. Three people were murdered at Jewish centers in the Kansas city area, allegedly by a man with a long history of anti-Semitic behavior.
This made the event, held in Council Chambers in the RCC to commemorate the coming out of bondage for Jews around the world, especially powerful. The event was marked by education, a sense of community and the breaking of bread.
The event was sponsored the Center for Middle East Studies, Center for Multicultural Affairs, U.S. Ethnic Studies & the Office of Institutional Diversity. (Photo by student Steve Rowell, University News)
