Many teenagers would prefer to spend their school vacation sleeping in, but on Feb. 20 a group from the Brockton Boys and Girls Club ventured to the campus of BSU to enjoy a morning of personal development.
In partnership with Junior Achievement, BSU presented Skills to Achieve, a collection of lessons on workforce readiness, marketing, and personal finance.
Diana Jennings, director of the Office of Regional Outreach, said the goals of Junior Achievement mesh well with the university’s mission.
“Junior Achievement’s goals to empower youth certainly align with our values for student success,” she said.
The Office of Regional Outreach plans to offer another JA Academy in May.
