While attending a meeting for the Food and Agriculture Organization Intergovernmental Group (FAO-IGG) of the United Nations, Dr. James Hayes-Bohanan, professor of geography, helped develop a report to help guide the FAO-IGG in assisting tea growers around the world adapt to climate change. Dr. Hayes-Bohanan co-wrote the paper at the meeting, held in Washington D.C., with Working Group on Climate Change, comprised of top tea researchers from Sri Lanka, India, and Kenya. Dr. Hayes-Bohanan, a coffee specialist, is currently working on a two-volume reference book, Geography of Coffee and Tea.
